MAGICK AND COMMERCIALISM
I have read lately that some people are selling wands with unicorn hair in the core. And essence of unicorn hair? Thus we have people selling items that they profess to be the real thing, but have imaginary things "in" them? I am certain that this must be very confusing for some people. The simple and plain truth is staring you in the face. If what goes inside is imaginary, then most like they believe magick is imaginary as well. These people are merely looking to make money off of people.
Real witches are not looking to get rich off the misery of others. Our main goal is not money making. We are not money mongers. We are here to help others. Remember people, what you do onto others, comes back to you three-fold. If you must fill the core of your wands with something, then fill them with something real ...with real magick. I beg thee ..do not lose your spirit to comercialism. For when you do, you will lose your true magick along with it.
SO, WHAT IS REAL MAGICK?
Thoughout my life, many people have asked me just that question. They have also asked me what is the difference between real magick and fantasy. What I explain to them is, fantasy is a person flying around on a broom. Perhap they did long ago, but if they did, then that sort of magick was lost to us many years ago. Nonetheless, there is still very real magick in this world. It is all around us, and within practically everything. One only need to learn how to use it.
WHAT IS A HEREDITARY WITCH?
If your mother/ father were witches, and one or bothe of their parents were before them, then you are a hereditary witch. Can you be a hereditary witch, and not know it. The answer is, no. However, you can be a hereditary witch, and not realize it. How will I know if I am a hereditary witch or not? Well, ask yourself some simple questions concerning your parents. Did either of them know things before they actually occurred? Could either of them make things happen, just by thinking about them? If so, then they were probably a hereditary witch themselves, and did not
realize it. My mother is a hereditary witch, and her parent were as well, but I was the first to recognise the hereditary gift handed down to us.
CAN SOMEONE BE A HEREDITARY WITCH AND NOT REALIZE IT?
Very easily. I will try to explain. It started many years ago, when people were burning anyone suspected of being a witch at the stake. It is a well known fact, that because of this, many witches had to practice their craft in secrecy. Altar tools became part of the kitchenware, but were only known to the witch herself. For instance, the boline and athame had different coloured handles. Also, although many witches then believed in the old pagan ways, many found it was safer to hide behind to Christian church.
THE MYSTICAL WHITE HORSE
Down through the history of time, the White Horse has always been a symbol of mysticism, magick, and the spirit world. The Old English Kings and Queens, Gods and Goddesses worshipped the Mearh/ Mearg blanca [Old English: White Horse/ Steed. Anglo-Saxon: sceám]. The Welsh Horse Goddess, Rhiannon, and the Celtic Horse Goddess, Epona, worshipped the gwynnwy blanc [Welsh: White Horse]. It is said that there is magick in the mane and tail of the White Horse, and when they run, the wind flowing through her mane, the magick is released onto the world of mankind.
The hair from the mearh blanca/ gwynnwy blanc has been used in rituals for thousands of years. Rituals for strength, for healing, to conquer, and even for enduring love and friendship. Thus, adding the mane or tail hair of these magickal creatures to the core of your of an altar tool, adds to it's magickal power.
My magick is very real, and whatever I put into them will be just as real. That is why I have chosen to use a single strand of mane hair from the mearh to place into the core of some of my magick wands. Not an imaginary hair, or the essence of a hair, but a real one. A word of caution. Dreamcasters wands are only for the serious practitioner ...they are not for role playing, or "make believe". This is part of my Magick. It is indeed powerful Magick, and it is very real.
